The spacious saloon can happily seat six adults around the table without squeezing and hitting elbows, providing views across the water through the large port windows. The Hanse 418 is a very easy boat to handle when out on the water, especially when short-handed, with its single-line reefing system (or optional in-mast furling) and the self-tacking jib, sailing up the river is a breeze. When in the marina the ease of handling continues especially when accompanied by the retractable bow-thruster.
