Rent a Motorboat in Sicily With Skipper

Motorboat Hire in Sicily With Skipper

What better way is there to explore the largest island in the Mediterranean than by choosing to rent a motorboat in Sicily with skipper. Sicily has a long history, evidence of a variety of cultures stretching back over the last 2,500 years are clearly evident in the architecture and culture abundant on the island today.

Of course, the fact that it is in the Mediterranean and enjoys a warm summer sun is simply a bonus. You’ll find the sailing conditions are varied, the winds are mild to moderate and the sea generally calm. While this can be attractive to a great number of sailors, renting a motorboat is the logical way to really appreciate the area.

Having a boat with a skipper means that you don’t need to worry about anything, and you’ll be shown a host of delights that you would simply miss without the expert local knowledge a skipper has.

Take a look and you’ll discover a great selection of motorboats for rent with skipper.  Choose the size you need and the comfort level, then be amazed at the price as you plan your holiday with the help of our experienced and friendly customer service crew.

There’s a host of things to see on the island and, if you have the time, you can even cruise around the Aeolian Islands or take in the sights of Ortigia! This small island is known as the Old City and check out the Piazza Duomo, the Temple of Athens, and even the Castello Maniace.

No visit to Sicily would be complete without taking a look at the capital city of Palermo on the northern coast. You’ll need to see the Palatine chapel and hike into the mountains surrounding the city, the reward from Mount Pellegrino or Mount Catalfano is a stunning view.

Of course, a visit to the La Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro is also a must, you can cruise through the deep blue waters admiring the landscape and even touch land on some fantastic beaches that are only accessible by boat.

Also on the northern coast is Cefalù, a picture-perfect fishing village with a harbor lined with pretty boats. It does get busy in the summer but it's always a rewarding experience.

On the northeastern corner of the island, you’ll find Messina, it’s on the Messina strait that separates Sicily from Italy, you’re close enough to almost touch the mainland and the island at the same time!

There’s a famous Gothic cathedral here and a vibrant, but relaxed, atmosphere.

Moving down the eastern coast you’ll find Catania. This is a beautiful city with plenty of architectural gems, the cathedral is particularly impressive. In fact, the entire city center is listed with UNESCO. But, the beauty of having a motorboat is that you can head a little off the coast and look back. The city is framed by Mount Etna that plunges to earth behind it.

Mount Etna remains the most active volcano in Europe, the sight is impressive from the sea and intoxicating up close and personal.

The southern coast offers Licata and Agrigento. Licata is all about the beautiful coastline, secluded coves, and hidden treasures that your skipper can guide you toward. There’s also a stunning lighthouse.

Agrigento is the gateway to the Valle dei Templi, another UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best surviving examples of ancient Greek architecture.

Don’t forget to check out the salt mines at Trapani as you cruise around the northwestern corner of the island and turn back toward Palermo.
