Rent a Motorboat in Bahamas

Motorboat Hire in Bahamas

Turquoise waters and white sandy beaches are the epitomai of the Caribbean and there are several beautiful spots you should visit during your lifetime. However, for your next vacation, you need to rent a motorboat in Bahamas and discover everything this archipelago has to offer.

It’s estimated there are 2,400 islands, cays, and islets in the Bahamas, the only way to really explore them is to rent a motorboat and plot your own course.

You’ll be following in famous footsteps; Christopher Columbus is believed to have anchored off the remote eastern island of Samana Cay. In the same area, you’ll find Great Inagua where there are hundreds of pink flamingos.

On the southeast boundary of the Bahamas, you’ll find the Jumentos chain of islands, this is the spot to head if you want complete solitude. The islands are deserted, original, and have stunning sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and an abundance of sea life.

However, you will want to make sure your boat is fully stocked first, there are no shops in this part of the Bahamas! It’s also advisable to rent a motorboat in the Bahamas with skipper, the water can be very shallow and there are plenty of reefs and sandbars that will catch you out and leave you stranded. That’s not how you want to spend your vacation.

Take a look at the motorboats sailgy.com has to offer and arrange to rent one today, it will be the best decision you’ve ever made.

Of course, you’ll need to find some time to visit Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas and on New Providence island. It’s an eclectic mix of colorful Caribbean houses and old British Colonial Empire architecture. There’s a vibrant and cosmopolitan feel to the city and, the other side of the harbor is Paradise island, where you’ll find an impressive waterpark and an abundance of high-class eateries, casinos, and shopping experiences.

It’s probably worth starting your experience in Grand Bahama, the fourth largest island, you can then explore Great Abaco, just east of Grand Bahama. The beauty of the Abacos is that it has all the facilities you could need but is still largely unaffected by tourism. This gives you a more genuine feel to the Bahamas and the opportunity to admire Whale Cay Passage and Green Turtle Cay.

Heading south from these islands will bring you down to Nassau where you’ll want to check out Fort Fincastle and the Queen’s Staircase. The fort overlooks Nassau, has a boat-shaped front and provides fantastic views across the Bahamian waters. Fort Charlotte at the top of the hill is also worth a look, although the 42 canons in this fort have never been fired in a war.

Southeast of Nassau you’ll find Exuma Cays, one of the first marine parks in the world and it has a strict policy of not taking anything away from the area. You’ll want to slip on a snorkel mask to appreciate the life beneath your feet.

It’s important to note that these islands are rocky and can be difficult to navigate thanks to swift currents, it’s best to rent a motorboat n Bahamas with a skipper to ensure you choose the best route.

There is an abundance of islands in this section and you’ll find some of the best food in the Bahamas is cooked locally here, keep an ear on the VHF to hear the latest menus.

From here the world is your oyster, there are plenty of small islands and cays to explore, especially in an easterly or southeast direction. Choose a heading and point the bow where you want to go, you can feel like a real explorer!

We’re certain to have the right one for your needs at an affordable price. You can chat with our first-class customer service team to get help with the booking process, it’s one decision you’ll never regret.
