As part of our continuous commitment to offer the highest possible flexibility to our customers in such uncertain times, over the past few weeks we have been listening to our customers' concerns related to traveling and booking a sailing holiday for 2021. Our goal is, and will always be, to make the experience of traveling as comfortable and relaxing for you as possible. We are aware that our offer needs to reflect such evolving travel circumstances.
‘Will my sailing holiday happen if I book now for 2021?’ ‘Is there any chance I will get my money back if I need to cancel due to Covid travel restrictions?’ ‘Can I reschedule my booking at a later date?’ This is just a sample of the questions our Customer Support has been receiving over the past few weeks. All fair and legitimate questions.
Listening to our customers is our absolute top priority. However we also wanted to hear feedback from the most trusted charters network we work with. Not surprisingly, they share the idea there is a need to offer greater flexibility during uncertain times and to provide a policy that can support travelers as well as the sailing sector.
With customers and charter companies in mind, we’ve crafted a new flexible policy, exclusive for Sailogy, for early bookings with departure in 2021. Let us tell you more about it here.
The Early Booking Protection policy is applicable for bookings made before 31.12.2020 and with departure in 2021. The policy relates to boats displaying the “Safe 2021” badge on our site (see image below).
With the Early Booking Protection policy, customers are entitled to the following special conditions, exclusive for Sailogy:
Payment conditions will be as follows:
50% as Down Payment
50% as Full Balance due 60 days prior to departure.
Payment conditions between Sailogy Group and Charter Companies won’t change.
Peaceful anchoring in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea
Between 90 days from departure and the Full Balance due date, customers are entitled to cancel their reservation for any reason and choose among one the following options:
Option A
The guarantee of a monetary refund of the entire amount already paid, minus a Cancellation Fee of 500€. Refunds will be issued 180 days after the cancellation confirmation.
Option B
Reschedule the booking for a future date with no extra charge if they choose the same yacht and the same charter week.
Option C
A credit note to be used with the same Charter Company equal to the amount already paid for a future charter, valid for 12 months from its issuance date.
Between the Full Balance due date and the day before departure, customers are entitled to cancel due to the following covid19-related reasons:
Lockdown in your country or in the country of embarkation at the date of departure;
Mandatory quarantine in your country or in the country of embarkation at the date of departure;
Travel ban issued by the government of your country with respect to the country of embarkation at the date of departure.
Once the booking has been fully paid, customers are entitled to choose between the following options:
Receive a credit note for the amount already paid for a future charter, valid for 12 months from its issuance date to be used with the same Charter Company.
Reschedule the booking for a future date with no extra charge if they choose the same yacht and the same charter week.
