From Marina di Scarlino you can sail the coast of Tuscany, cruise the Elba archipelago on a sailboat and head to beautiful Corsica.
This Tuscan base is an ideal departing spot for a sailing holiday around the island of Elba and the northern part of Corsica (60 NM to Bastia).
The nearest airports are a bit of a drive (Pisa: 125 km; Rome: 230 km), but there’s a train station in Follonica, just 5 km away. The Marina is the base of three Sailogy's certified boat charter companies and it has all of the standard services and facilities, including cafès, restaurants, toilets - and the nearby shopping center is very well-appointed and organized.
With 560 berths, this is one of the largest marinas in the Northern Mediterranean, but don’t expect much from the nearby town of Follonica. If you rent a sailboat in Scarlino you won’t, however, be disappointed as the gorgeous island of Elba and the other islands in the Elba Archipelago are very close. The most common sailing itinerary from here is a trip to the islands of Elba, Capraia, and then the French island of Corsica.
San Vincenzo is the closest base to Marina di Scarlino
