  4. Charter a sailboat in Santa Teresa: A spot for celebrities

Rent a sailboat in Sardinia's Emerald Coast, one of the most impressive holiday destinations in the Mediterranean sea. In Santa Teresa, founded in 1808 by the island’s Savoy rulers to combat smugglers, these days the invaders are tourists, numbering some 50,000 in August!! Therefore you won't feel alone, that's for sure!

The harbor is of Santa Teresa is a great place to start your sailing holiday! Before departing make sure you go for a walk at the unique Nightly Market which is arguably one of the hotspot attractions in this quaint Italian summer town. You'll be amazed by the coral based jewelry trinkets, designer clothing and crafts, as well as an eclectic cluster of boutiques and shops.

Once your skipper sets sail from Santa Teresa the options cannot be more. Heading East will bring you to Stintino and its crystal clear waters, allowing you to cruise around the Asinara Island, which has been recently reopened for navigation after 30 years.
Alternatively, go West and navigate towards the Emeral Coast, spending your evenings and nights mooring around the islands of the la Maddalena archipelago.  On your way South you will encounter the super-luxury marinas of Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo and then find a great spot to dock your boat for fuel and fresh water in the harbor of Portisco, another great Sailogy destination.  When you get back to Santa Teresa di Gallura, find the time for a quick stop at the Centro Benessere di Terme del Porto, a wellbeing centre located in the tourist port that offers a refreshing and relaxing Turkish hammam massage.

To start your sailing holiday in Santa Teresa di Gallura, simply look for your sailboat to rent, or catamaran to rent; Sailogy has certified all yachts in the area and we are sure you’ll have the time of your life.
