  4. Mallorca 7 day itinerary by boat

In the heart of the Balearic Sea is located one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the Mediterranean area. Between crystal clear waters and natural parks lies Mallorca, the biggest sister, a dreamy island gateway with both the nightlife and the amazing landscapes you can find on Ibiza or Formentera.

Mallorca has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for adventures or just soaking up in the sun: it offers some of the most beautiful hikes, lively nightlife, especially in the capital city Palma and that amazing Spanish culture that you can only find in these islands (and the food, let’s not forget about the food!).

The coasts of this island are the real gem: about 550 kilometers of cliffs, white-sand beaches, hidden coves, and beautiful grottos to discover one after the other, a real paradise for skippers of all levels and sailing lovers. No wonder you can make the most out of Mallorca when visiting by boat!

If you are planning a visit to Mallorca, don’t miss our exclusive 7-day itinerary to discover the hidden beauties of this place.

Day 1 - Playa del Mago

We start our itinerary in the lively capital city of Palma, where you can find many of our boats available in the main port or the surrounding areas.

If you set sail to the southeast coast, you will get in no time to the beautiful Playa Del Mago, a small nudist cove with crystal clear waters and surrounded by lush vegetation. The sea calls for a swim and the small chiringuito on the beach calls for a fresh drink on the sandy beach.

This is the day's final stop, but before getting there you can visit other stunning coves such as Playa Cala Vinyes or Cala Bella Dona.

Day 2 - Port Soller Mallorca

Our second day starts early in the morning, heading towards Port Soller, a beautiful bay surrounded by mountains of lush green and protected by strong winds. This is the best place for enjoying dinner on board and sleeping at anchor. On the way to the port, there is plenty of choice for a swim stop. We suggest checking Cala Deia, Sa Foradada, Port of Valldemossa, Banyalbufar, and Estellencs, and pick your favorite one!

Day 3 - Port de Pollença

The rugged northern coastline of Mallorca is a beautiful spectacle to witness while heading to Port de Pollença, a small sea town on the northeastern side of the island. This town hosts a nice harbor where you can spend the night, as well as a lively center that is well worth a visit.

Sierra Tramuntana is a mountain range that surrounds the port and offers infinite opportunities for hiking: if you are a passionate hiker, you must explore this unique landscape and enjoy some of the most beautiful hidden coves in the region. We recommend trying the hike from Puerto Pollença to Cala Boquer, an easy path through the Tramuntana Mountains that ascents only about 150 meters and ends with a nice bay where you can swim and enjoy the rest of the day.

.

Day 4 - Cala Ratjada Mallorca

We set sail to another magical destination, Cala Ratjada. Once a small fishing village, the town is now an important touristic point of the island, with many tourists gathering here all year long. This part of the island boasts a scenic rocky coastline, and it’s not hard to spot dolphins here! The town itself is one of the prettiest resorts in Mallorca, therefore we strongly suggest mooring and strolling along the promenade and eating at one of the restaurants that face the sea.

The beaches in Cala Ratjada are one prettier than the other, but Cala Gat is definitely the one that is really worth a visit: a small bay with turquoise waters and surrounded by green vegetation.

You can spend the night at Port Cala Ratjada and leave the next morning for a new adventure!

Day 5 - Cala d’Or

The Ibizan architecture, the turquoise waters, and the lively atmosphere of the town are the main characteristics of Cala d’Or, a beautiful resort located on the southeast coast of Mallorca. The beaches and the coves of this area are truly spectacular: Cala Egos, for instance, is a beautiful cove nestled between rocky cliff, perfect to reach by boat.

If you are visiting this area, you can’t miss the Drach Caves, spectacular caves where sometimes are arranged some classical music concerts: such a unique experience! And if you are more into culture and history, we recommend visiting Es Fortì or the monastery of Sant Salvador in the heart of Sierra de Levante.

Cala d'Or

.

Day 6 - Cabrera National Park

We dedicate the 6th day to an amazing excursion away from the coasts of Mallorca. On the way back to Palma, you can take a detour and reach the nearby island of Cabrera, the fifth island of the Balearic archipelago in size. This island hosts the homonym national park, nominated for the cleanest and richest seabeds of this Mediterranean part of the sea. It was also recognized as a specially protected area in 2003.

The small islands and islets surrounding Cabrera form a beautiful archipelago that can be visited with the right precautions, as it cannot be reached without permission in order to limit the number of boats and to preserve the biodiversity.

If you visit Cabrera, don’t forget to pay a visit to the beautiful Blue Cave. We recommend taking your own food and water supplies as there are no restaurants and bars on the island.

Cabrera National Parl

.

Day 7 - Es Trenc Mallorca

The last destination before reaching Palma is Es Trenc, undoubtedly the most famous as well as the largest natural beach on the whole island, unspoiled by hotels or restaurants. Here you can breathe the real essence of Mallorca, surrounded by crystal clear waters and lulled by the waves. The almost tropical look of this beach is given by the fine-grained sand that covers the beach in its entire length, and the shallow waters make it a great place for families. There are no water sports activities here, so you can truly enjoy the quiet of this place and relax on your private boat.

Up north, you will find the small town of Sa Rapita, which hosts a lovely port where you can moor to visit the surrounding areas.

We finally set sail to the charter located in Palma, with the heart full of amazing memories and experiences made during these 7 days spent sailing around the beautiful island of Mallorca.
