Mooring in Sukosan

“This morning I visited one of our partners at Marina Dalmacija in Sukosan, probably the largest marina I have ever seen. It has 1200 berths and I think is particularly good for chartering a boat as you can reach the dock with the car; in addition it has a beach right "around the corner", in case you arrive too early in the morning.

The position of the Marina is really a plus, since it is only ten km far from Zadar airport and the first island of the Kornati Archipelago is 9 miles heading southwest. In Sukosan I had a long chat (in italian!) with Josip, the manager of one of the greatest charter companies of Croatia (and probably of the entire Mediterranean) with 60 sailboats, all from different shipyards: Bavaria, Elan, Jeanneau and Beneteau, plus 4 Lagoon catamarans. Josip and his family run the company since 1996 and they are from Zadar, so they really know the places and the destinations and I felt I could really trust them because of his kindness and qualification. He also offered me to stay overnight on one of their sailboats but I had to refuse as in the afternoon I have to visit Sutomiscica, on the island of Preko, to view the last Marina of my Croatian travel.
