Split, Croatia, is a popular destination for sailing enthusiasts due to its stunning coastline and proximity to numerous islands and islets. There are several sailing itineraries you can explore from Split, each offering unique experiences.

Itinerary 1: Split - Brač - Hvar - Vis - Korčula - Split

Day 1: Split - Brač (approx. 9 n/m)

Start your journey in Split and sail to the nearby island of Brač, known for its beautiful beaches like Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn).

Day 2 and 3: Brač - Hvar (approx. 12 n/m)

Head to the vibrant island of Hvar, famous for its nightlife, lavender fields, and historic architecture; the old town of Stari Grad is known for its ancient Greek layout.

You can also visit the picturesque fishing village of Vrboska, often called "Little Venice" due to its charming canals and bridges. 

Day 4: Hvar - Vis (approx. 18 n/m)

Continue to the remote island of Vis, which was off-limits to tourists for many years, making it less crowded and full of natural beauty. One of the best ways to experience Vis Island is by boat, to discover secluded bays and beaches not accessible by land.

The best beaches and bays not to miss are Srebrna Beach, Stiniva Beach, and the renowned Blue Cave (Modra špilja) and Green Cave (Zelena špilja).

Day 5 and 6: Vis - Korčula (approx. 45 n/m)

Sail to Korčula, believed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo, and explore its charming medieval town. Steeped in history and surrounded by fortified walls, the town boasts a well-preserved Venetian architecture that takes visitors on a journey back in time.

Day 7: Korčula - Split (approx. 62 n/m)

Return to Split to conclude your journey.

Itinerary 2: Split - Šolta - Stari Grad (Hvar) - Pakleni Islands - Vis - Komiža - Blue Cave (Biševo) - Split

Day 1: Split - Šolta (approx. 10 n/m) 

Depart from Split and head to the peaceful island of Šolta, known for its olive groves and crystal-clear waters.

Šolta is an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful and authentic Croatian island experience. It's a place to unwind, connect with nature, and immerse yourself in the laid-back island lifestyle. 

This picturesque village on the western coast of Šolta is known for its beautiful bay, olive groves, and traditional stone houses. The village is dominated by a stunning 18th-century castle, Martinis Marchi, which has been converted into a luxury hotel.

Day 2: Šolta - Stari Grad (Hvar) (approx. 20 n/m)

Sail to Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, one of the oldest towns in Europe with a rich cultural heritage. 

Day 3: Hvar - Pakleni Islands (approx. 15 n/m)

Visit the Pakleni Islands, a group of small, stunning islands near Hvar, offering great anchorages and beautiful beaches. 

Palmižana Bay is one of the most popular spots on the Pakleni Islands and is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and lush vegetation. You can island-hop around the small islets and enjoy the day between relaxation and exploration. 

Day 4: Pakleni Islands - Vis (approx. 15 n/m) 

Continue to the island of Vis and explore its hidden coves and ancient ruins. 

The main town on the island, Vis Town, is a beautiful and historic settlement with a mix of Venetian and Dalmatian architecture, whilst Fort George is an old military fort turned into a bar and event venue, offering spectacular sunset views and a memorable atmosphere.

The best coves and caves to visit are Stiniva Cove, and the aforementioned Blue and Green Caves. 

Day 5: Vis - Komiža (approx. 10 n/m)

Head to Komiža, a picturesque fishing village on the island of Vis. 

Komiža offers a mix of history, natural beauty, and authentic Croatian village life. Whether you're interested in exploring its cultural heritage, enjoying the beaches, or simply relaxing with a glass of local wine, Komiža has something to offer every traveler.

Day 6: Komiža - Biševo Island (approx. 10 n/m)

If conditions permit, visit the mesmerizing Blue Cave on the nearby island of Biševo. This island is also rich in stunning coves that are perfect to visit by boat, such as Porat Cove or Salbunara Cove. 

Day 7: Biševo Island - Split (approx. 30 n/m) 

Return to Split to conclude your journey.
