Tivat itinerary: 5 days in the fantastic bay of Montenegro

Discovering Montenegro

Day 1

We begin our journey from the Porto Montenegro in Tivat, a coastal town nestled away between two cliffs in the northeast corner of Montenegro.


Day 2

The town is currently an important nautical tourist spot, famed for its breathtaking views and clear waters. Make a day trip to the nearby island of Sveti Marko, located around 1.5 NM from the port. The island has a 4km stretch of beautiful sandy beaches, and lush green vegetation.


Day 3

Make a trip round the coast 13 NM to Kotor, a coastal city located in the neighbouring bay. Kotor has a well-preserved medieval town, and the Cathedral of St Tryphon, built in 1166, is a recommended stop off point.


Day 4

On the return journey, make a detour to the Sveti Dorde and Gospa od Skrpijela islets, situated off the Perast coast. Sveti Dorde is host to the Saint George Benedictine Monastery, dating back to the 12th century, while Gospa od Skrpijela is an artificial island with Our Lady of Rocks church.


Day 5

Continue sailing 5 NM southeast until you reach Porto Montenegro.
