From Punta Ala you can cruise the coast of Tuscany on a sailboat, sail the Elba archipelago and head to the island of Corsica.
Exceptionally functional and perfectly positioned, the marina in Tuscany’s legendary seaside destination of Punta Ala has around 900 berths and enjoys a very long breakwater, making it safe under just about any weather conditions. Punta Ala is known for its perfect sea breeze that blows all year round - one of the many reasons it’s the “home base” for the Luna Rossa, Italy’s famous racing boat.
Punta Ala is also a great base for leisure sailors. Located halfway between Rome and Livorno, the marina is the perfect departure spot for cruises to the island of Elba, Corsica and even Sardinia - which can be reached in about 20 hours of sailing. Punta Ala is easily reached by train from Grosseto or Follonica.
The nearest base to Punta Ala is Marina di Scarlino.
