Tropea (ancient Trapeia) is a municipality located within the province of Vibo Valentia, in Calabria (southern Italy). The town is a famous bathing place, situated on a reef, in the gulf of St. Euphemia connected with the mainland by a narrow strip in the Tyrrhenian Sea, toward the south with respect to Vibo Valentia and northward with respect to Ricadi and Capo Vaticano.
Of all the holiday destinations in Calabria, Tropea is perhaps the most famous. The town sits on top of an imposing cliff rising up immediately behind the turquoise sea and golden sand. Houses seem to cling precariously to its side and your first view of Tropea will never be forgotten. We at sailogy, we certainly remember our amazing sailing experience we had, and what we remember is a beautiful experience in one of the best areas in Italy for sailing. Oh and don't forget that when you want to eat some quality italian food, you should go to La bussola restaurant, a very friendly restaurant with some yummy dishes!
