Itinerary - from the 16th January 2016 to the 23rd January 2016
Day 1 Saturday: MARTINIQUE, LE MARIN / DEPARTURE TO BEQUIA (12 H)
The catamaran of your dreams is waiting for you in the marina of Le Marin, here is where your journey into the abyss of beautiful spots in the Grenadines begins.
Le Marin is in the south of the island, a small village neighbouring a deep bay surrounded by mangroves, a mix of reefs and islets, encircled by an isthmus protecting it from swell and wind. There is no better starting point than Le Marin for a sailing adventure in the Grenadines!
Welcome note by your crew and check in to the cabins. Dinner on board and we set our sails at night towards Bequia.
Day 2 Sunday: SAILING AND ARRIVAL IN BEQUIA
We continue sailing along the coasts of St. Lucia and St Vincent until we reach Bequia. At night you will be able to spot the 2 Pitons that sit at a height of 800m on top of the town La Soufrière. Lunch will be served whilst we are navigation along the south of St Vincent, the landscape is dominated by rainforests and secluded pebble beaches.
Our first island of the Grenadines Archipelago is Bequia (pronounced 'Bekoue'), we will take a break at Admiralty Bay. Port of Elisabeth, the capital is filled with pictures of Her Majesty underlining the colonial ties between this small island and Britain. Dinner and night on board
Day 3 Monday: BEQUIA / MOUSTIQUE / MAYREAU (5H)
Breakfast on board. Discover Moustique, the island of the 'jet set' from Hollywood and other royal personalities of the world! Luxurious hotels, private villas, selected bars and gourmet restaurants compose a sophisticated universe in the heart of this tropical paradise. Leisure and nautical activities at the anchorage: swimming, snorkeling, kayak, windsurf and wake board. After lunch you can go for a walk and visit the island and its beaches. In option: a tour of the island with a jeep or local 'pick up', Swimming at the most beautiful beach of the island “Macaroni Beach” (ca. 2 hours).
Departure for Mayreau early afternoon. Mooring in front of Saline Bay beach. Mayreau is the less populated island of the Archipelago with only about 300 inhabitants. This unique village can be discovered at one hour walk on a path starting at the beach of Saline bay. It is worth it to visit the cottages, bars and restaurants made from colorfully painted wood and the small stone church on top of the hill with a breathtaking view over the islands nearby. Dinner and night on board.
Day 4 Tuesday: MAYREAU / TOBAGO CAYS (0,5H)
After breakfast, we embark on a short sail to Tobago Cays, here you will find reefs encircling the most stunning lagoon of Grenadines. Lunch will be served in this exoctic paridise.
After lunch we step into the breathtaking coral barrier world; snorkeling at shallow depth. You can soak in the beaming sun on fine white sandy beaches. You can choose from a range of water sport activities: kayak, windsurf, or wake-board. Alternatively, you can wander on trails through the desert islets, here you will discover cactus, frangipani trees and endemic shrubs. Dinner and night on board.
You can choose between: BBQ on the beach : aperitif, dinner with lobster (seasonally) or mussels and fish
Tag 5 Wednesday: TOBAGO CAYS / BEQUIA / CUMBERLAND (SAINT VINCENT) (5,5 H)
After breakfast we sail towards Bequia. You will spend some time in the village, where you will visit the local market and small boutiques, also see the colourful coral reef. After lunch you will sail to Cumberland Bay in Saint Vincent. After dinner on board, we strongly recommend to celebrate the evening at 'Beni” where a steel-band will be hosting an entertaining night.
Day 6 Thursday: SAINT VINCENT/ SAINTE LUCIE (5.5H)
Breakfast will be served on board. You can take a taxi and tour the island. You will go swimming at a waterfall after crossing a hanging bridge (approx. 2,5 hours)
After lunch, we sail to the 2 Pitons, a national symbol of Sainte Lucia. Dinner and night on board.
Day 7 Friday: SAINTE LUCIE / SAINTE ANNE (MARTINIQUE) (5H)
Breakfast will be served on board. A tour of the island will be organised with driver and a guide, where you will visit the village of La Soufrière, take a stroll in the Botanical Garden with its mineral springs and sulfurous baths; walk in crater of La Soufrière volcano, between smokes and geysers of boiling water (approx. 3.5 hours).
Lunch will be served on board while you sail to Sainte Anne in Martinique. Dinner and night on board.
Day 8 Saturday: SAINTE ANNE / LE MARIN (0,5H)
Breakfast will be served on board. We will begin a short sail to the Le Marin marina. Disembarkation at 10h00.
