As part of our continued commitment to offer the absolute best sailing experience that is tailored around you, we have been working day and night to redefine our payment terms.

In the current travel situation, we were aware that we needed to shape something that fully addressed the concerns and doubts that most travelers are going through right now when booking a sailing holiday.

To start with, we asked our subscribers and customers what they believe the optimal booking terms and conditions are. The survey we sent a few weeks ago helped us understand the concerns around booking a sailing holiday and supported us in redefining the terms with your needs in mind. We learnt, for example, that over 80% would be willing to book a holiday in 2020 with the ability to cancel weeks before departure.

The survey also clearly highlighted concerns due to Covid-related restrictions and thus the fear of having to cancel at the last minute and losing everything paid. We collected all feedback, which has laid the foundations for the booking policy we can offer today. We thank all of those who have taken the time to respond to the survey. With the survey feedback, we have been able to renegotiate substantial changes of our current policy with many of the charter companies we work with.

Safe 2020 

For bookings on yachts that display the Safe 2020 badge with departure within 2020, you are entitled to the following special conditions, exclusive for Sailogy: 

• 30% of down-payment to block your yacht.
• 70% to be paid 30 days prior to departure.

Special Cancellation Conditions

• You are entitled to cancel your reservation due to the following covid-19 related restrictions until the day before embarkation:
  • Lockdown in your country or in the country of embarkation;
  • Mandatory quarantine in your country or in the country of embarkation;
  • Travel ban issued by the government of your country with respect to the country of embarkation.
  Once your booking has been cancelled, you are entitled to receive a credit note for the amount already paid for a future charter, valid for 12 months from its issuance date.
• For any other cancellation reasons, if you cancel more than 30 days before embarkation the cancellation fee will be equal to the down-payment already paid.
