From Sukosan you can explore the Kornati Islands in Central Croatia
Marina Dalmacija is a modern Marina with 1200 berths, making it the largest one on the eastern side of the Adriatic Sea. Located 10 km south of Zadar, where there’s also an airport, it’s the ideal departure spot for cruises towards the Kornati Archipelago, whose closest cluster of islands is only 10 nautical miles away.
The harbor is very well organized with all kind of facilities for mooring a sailboat, and tourist services like a café, restaurant and grocery store for tourists and sailors. Another distinguishing feature--not bad if you arrive early and have a few hours before checking in--is the private beach located just outside the breakwater. Cars are allowed almost directly to the docks, which makes unloading simple and convenient and doesn’t require walking long distances with tons of baggage.
Our Sailogy partner here is a large, well-established charter company with around 60 sailboats. They know the area really well, and are always happy to suggest itinerary options for your Croatian cruising experience. Our partner here also prides itself for knowing an array of secret little inlets and bays in the region, where you can simply relax on the deck and feel as if you’re the only boat in water.
The closest bases to Sukosan are the marina of Zadar and the base of Biograd
